1.1    “Roomie” or “رومي platform (referred to hereafter as the "Platform" or "Service") is an electronic service operated by Neo Eram Information Technology Company (referred to as "Company," "we," "our," or "us"). The Platform assists users in finding roommates and managing housing bookings.

1.2   By accessing or using the Platform, you agree to these Terms and Conditions ("Terms"), our Privacy Policy, and any applicable rules or policies. If you do not agree, you may not access or use the Service.

1.3   The Company reserves the right to amend or terminate these Terms or any Service at its discretion. Continued use constitutes acceptance of such changes.

2.        Definitions

2.1   Platform: “Roomie” or “رومي” website, mobile application, and associated services.

2.2   User: Any individual using the Platform, either as a Guest or a Host.

2.3   Guest: A user who books accommodations through the Platform.

2.4   Host: A user offering accommodations for rent on the Platform.

2.5   Booking: The process of reserving accommodations via the Platform.

3.        User Responsibilities

3.1   Providing Accurate Information: Users must provide truthful, complete, and current information during registration and bookings.

3.2   Compliance with Terms and Laws: Users must adhere to these Terms and all applicable laws.

3.3   Proper Use of the Platform:

3.3.1          Users are prohibited from engaging in fraudulent activities, including false bookings.

3.3.2          Users must not upload or share inappropriate, illegal, or copyrighted content.

3.4   Payments: Users are responsible for timely payments, including fees, deposits, and additional charges as agreed with the Host.

3.5   Compensation for Damages: Guests must compensate Hosts for any damages caused during their stay.

4.        Host Responsibilities

4.1   Accurate Listings: Hosts must provide detailed, accurate, and truthful descriptions of their accommodations, including amenities and pricing.

4.2   Compliance with Laws: Hosts are responsible for ensuring their listings comply with all applicable laws and regulations.

4.3   Timely Communication: Hosts must respond promptly to Guest inquiries and provide clear check-in and check-out instructions.

4.4   Property Maintenance: Hosts must maintain their properties in the condition described in their listings.

4.5   Handling Security Deposits: Hosts must handle security deposits transparently and return them promptly if no damages occur.

5.        Payments and Subscriptions

5.1   Purchases: Users must provide valid payment information. The Company reserves the right to process payments through third-party payment processors.

5.2   Subscription Plans: Subscription options may include varying terms, fees, and conditions. Users must adhere to the subscription-specific policies.

5.3   Refund Policy: Payments are generally non-refundable unless specified. Users may cancel subscriptions but retain access until the billing cycle ends.

5.4   Price Changes: The Company reserves the right to adjust pricing with 30 days' notice.

6.        Cancellations and Refunds

6.1   Cancellation Policies:

6.1.1          Strict Policy: No refunds after confirmation.

6.1.2          Moderate Policy: Full refund if canceled at least four days before check-in.

6.1.3          Flexible Policy: Full refund if canceled at least two days before check-in.

6.1.4          Free Policy: Refund available any time before check-in.

6.2   Guests must notify Hosts of delays to avoid cancellation.

7.        Use of Content

7.1   Users retain ownership of content they post but grant the Company the right to use it to improve the Service.

7.2   The Company reserves the right to remove content that violates these Terms.

7.3   Users must not post content that is false, infringing, or harmful.

8.        Intellectual Property

8.1   All content on the Platform, including text, graphics, and software, is the property of the Company and protected under intellectual property laws.

8.2   Users may not reproduce, modify, or distribute Platform materials without authorization.

9.        Indemnity and Limitation of Liability

9.1   Users agree to indemnify the Company against claims or damages arising from their use of the Service in violation of these Terms.

9.2   The Company is not liable for:

9.2.1          Service disruptions or technical issues.

9.2.2          Damages caused by user negligence or third-party actions.

9.3   Liability for damages is limited to the total fees paid by the user in the six months preceding the claim with a maximum of 5000 Saudi Riyals in the one calendar year.

10.   Termination of Accounts

10.1  The Company reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts for violations of these Terms, fraudulent activities, or prolonged inactivity.

10.2  Users may terminate their accounts by ceasing to use the Service.

11.   Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

11.1  These Terms are governed by the laws of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

11.2  Disputes will be resolved in the courts of Riyadh.

12.   Modifications to Terms

12.1  The Company reserves the right to amend these Terms. Users will receive notice of significant changes, and continued use of the Platform constitutes acceptance.

1.3 We are committed to protecting your privacy and securing your data in compliance with applicable Saudi Arabian laws and relevant international regulations.
1.4 Roomie operates using Google Firebase, which provides features such as data storage, authentication, and notifications.

2. Data We Collect

2.1   Information You Provide Directly

2.1.1          When you register, we collect details such as name, email, phone number, age, and gender.

2.1.2          If you verify your identity, we may request a copy of your national ID or passport.

2.1.3          Housing preferences, including budget, location, and interests, are also collected.

2.2   Information Collected Automatically via Google Firebase

2.2.1          Device Information: Type of device, operating system, IP address, browser type.

2.2.2          Usage Data: Interactions within the app, search history, sent messages, and match data.

2.2.3          Location Data: If location services are enabled for enhanced housing search.

2.3   Information from Third Parties

2.3.1          If you register using Google or Apple ID, we may receive basic profile details such as name and email.

2.3.2          Verification services may provide additional identity authentication data.


3. How We Use Your Data

3.1   Primary Uses

3.1.1          Enhancing user experience: Customizing recommendations and housing matches.

3.1.2          Performance analysis: Using Firebase Analytics to improve app functionality.

3.1.3          User communication: Sending notifications, updates, and marketing offers (with your consent).

3.1.4          Security and verification: Using Firebase Authentication to secure accounts and prevent fraud.

3.2   Advertising and Marketing

3.2.1          We may use anonymous data to optimize in-app advertisements but do not share personal data with external advertisers.


4. Data Sharing with Third Parties

4.1 Service Providers

6.1   Retention Policy

6.1.1          We retain your account data as long as you actively use our services.

6.1.2          If you request account deletion, your data will be removed within 30 days, except where required by law.

6.2   How to Delete Your Account

6.2.1          You can delete your account via app settings or by contacting us at support@roomie.cc.


7. User Rights

7.1 Access Your Data: You can request a copy of your stored personal data.
7.2 Update Your Data: You can edit your personal details in account settings.

9.1 Our app integrates with third-party services such as:

11.2 If we detect a minor using the app, we will immediately delete the account.
