For women

A room men never see.

Roomie is built so women can look for a room, and list one, without being seen by men at all. That is a rule in the code — not a setting we hope you find.

Invisible by design, not merely hidden

Mark a room women-only and it simply does not exist for a man browsing Roomie — no pin on the map, no card in the feed, no detail page. The rule runs on our servers, so no app can talk its way around it.

You decide who you see — and who sees you

You can set Roomie to show you women only, and set any room you post to women only. Both sides are enforced server-side, and signed-out visitors only ever see rooms open to everyone.

Verified identity, if you want the badge

Identity verification is optional. Members who complete it carry a visible badge you can look for before you reply — it is never required to use Roomie, and never assumed.

Your number stays yours

Conversations stay inside Roomie. Phone numbers and email are exchanged only when both of you agree — there is no way for someone to pull your contact details out of a chat.

Questions women ask

The honest answers.

Can men see my room if I post it as women-only?

No. A women-only room is filtered out on our servers for anyone browsing as a man, and for signed-out visitors. It is not a preference we apply afterwards — the room is never sent to them at all.

Do I have to verify my identity?

No. Verification is optional. If you complete it you get a visible badge, which many members look for before replying — but you can use Roomie fully without it.

When does someone get my phone number?

Only when you both agree to exchange contact details. Until then the conversation stays inside the app, and you can report or block anyone at any point.

Is Roomie only for women?

No — Roomie is for everyone 18 and over, but it is same-gender by design: men and women are never shown each other’s profiles or rooms.
